Whitlingham Boathouses

Whitlingham Boathouses Foundation (Registered Charity No 1133063) has been established to develop and maintain a Canoeing and Rowing facility for the community in Norfolk.

ABOUT US​

Whitlingham Boat Houses is based in Whitlingham Country Park, on the River Yare, on the south eastern edge of the City of Norwich. Competitive and recreational canoeing and rowing takes place on the Norfolk Broads rivers, which offer access to over 150kms of un-locked inland water.

Whitlingham Boathouses is an accredited Explore Rowing Centre and British Canoeing affiliated Canoe Club.

The new boathouse including changing rooms and showers; gym; multi-use area; club room; cafe; and boat storage was opened in August 2015. It is fully accessible throughout.

The Foundation is supported by 2 Community Amateur Sports Clubs -Norwich Canoe Club and Norwich Rowing Club in addition to the University of East Anglia, Norwich School and Norwich High School.

Norwich canoe club

An inclusive club for all ages and abilities.
Norwich Canoe Club’s is recognised by British Canoeing as a Centre of Excellence for training and racing in the flat water kayaking disciplines of Sprint and Marathon.

Community Rowing for all Ages.

Norwich Rowing Club is the largest rowing club in Norfolk and Suffolk. we are a community club and welcome people of any age (14-80+), able-bodied or disabled.

Community Clubs

Both Norwich Canoe Club and Norwich Rowing Club are community clubs and welcome people of any age, able-bodied or disabilities. Rowing and canoeing are great ways to get fit and to enjoy the magnificent river and club facilities. You are welcome whatever your experience, individual goals, and personal commitment levels.

Norwich Canoe Club has a very pro-active Paddleability Programme, encouraging people to join in, whatever their disabilities. Please contact the individual club for more information.
